Transformation:
The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard
This documentary chronicles the life of Werner Erhard (creator of the est Training) and the impact of his ideas. Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard was directed and produced by the Emmy award-winning director and producer Robyn Symon of Robyn Symon Productions.
The documentary gives the viewer a glimpse of who Werner Erhard really is, the revolutionary nature of his ideas and the difference they have made throughout the world. It highlights his enormous contributions to the quality of people's lives, people's relationships, the business world, and society itself.
This documentary is fascinating as it shows numerous professional and academic experts discussing Mr. Erhard's ideas and how they continue to dramatically impact society today. Symon also addresses the controversy that oftens clouds Werner Erhard's life story. With rare interviews with his family including his mother, brother and daughters, as well as press and associate professionals, she sets the record straight regarding the inaccuracies of the sensational press that swirled around him in the early 1990's.

Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard has been reviewed positively. With its first screening at the Palm Beach Film Festival in late April 2007, it has since been shown in festivals and cinemas across North America, including New York, Toronto, Chicago, and Aspen, Colorado. The film is having a tremendous response and in some cases has broken records for the highest attendance.

"What an amazing film - seeing this historical perspective of the est Training and Werner Erhard's ideas was both thought provoking and remenisent of my youth. "This was a tremendous film that evoked an era for me and completed so many of the questions that I had regarding Werner Erhard and whatever happened to both him and the est Training. All of the mystery, that I was left with for decades from the press, was answered in moving, up-close and personal interviews with his family." David F., Springfield, Il.

"Werner Erhard was an extraordinary leader, who started a revolution, empowering people to take responsibility for their lives and the world around them. It was long past due for his story to be told and this documentary is a great representation of the history of the time and legacy of one of the true icons of the 1970's." Rebecca M., Los Angeles, Ca.
"It’s not about Werner Erhard. I gave 5 stars to Transformation: The Life and Legacy of Werner Erhard to acknowledge what Werner’s humanity and commitment contributed to the world. When I think of him, I am moved to tears–not because of a fawning cult figure adoration. Like myself, I am aware of his many human flaws and failures. I am moved to tears because when I remember Werner Erhard, I remember who I am.
I remember how I hated my mother and father and had little contact with them for 12 years. After doing the est Training & The 6-Day Course, I began getting to know them for the first time. As a result, my father ended up being the “best man” at my wedding 25 years ago. How do you thank a person for something like that?"
